Today's Lesson: Lists-Ordered and UnorderedToday, we will learn how to make lists that are ordered and unordered. Here is an example of an ordered list:
Are you ready to learn more about lists? then click "READ MORE" The tags for making lists in html are the following: <OL></OL> <UL></UL> These two sets of tags tell the browser what kind of list is being created. The first one <OL> stands for organized list. It will number the items that will follow. The second one <UL> is an unorganized list. It will put bullets on the items listed. In between the opening and closing list tags is the list itself. The tag for the items being listed is the same no matter if it is organized or unorganized. <LI></LI> Items between these tags will show up as either numbered or bulleted, depending if it is an OL or an UL list. Here is an example: <OL> <li>This is the first item on the list</li> <li>This is the second item on the list</li> <li>This is the third item on the list</li> </OL> The above code would appear like this:
However, if I wanted to make bullets instead of numbers, I would simply change the OL tags to UL tags. Here is an example: <UL> <li>This is the first item on the list</li> <li>This is the second item on the list</li> <li>This is the third item on the list</li> </UL> The above code would appear like this:
